Gratitude is Back in Madison at Hammonasset State Park

Gratitude trail will be back at the state park

It’s once again ok to show your “gratitude” at Hammonasset State Park in Madison.

Two weeks ago the so-called “Gratitude Trail” was removed from the park, the New Haven Register reports. The trail featured placards displaying words of gratitude at the boardwalk. There were concerns over how big the display had become and some people thought it was nothing more than advertising, the Register reports.

But after holding a meeting the placards will return. There had been 130 placards and that number will be reduced to 95, the Register reports. The signs will be placed on the railings near the bathhouse, the Register reports.
