In a morning message to families Friday, superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke said a team is a close contact of positive case at the high school.

MADISON, CT —Another COVID-19 case has been reported in Madison Public Schools. This one at Daniel Hand High School has affected a sports team, all identified as close contacts, and the team must quarantine, schools superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke noted early Friday morning in a message to families.
"As a result of contact tracing, an athletic team has been identified as close contacts and instructed to quarantine," Cooke wrote.
As of the time this post was published, the district's COVID-19 case tracker had not been updated since Wednesday. It shows six "active" employee cases of COVID-19 reported this week, and 12 student cases.
