Here is the letter:

At Eversource, we know you count on us to deliver reliable power every day and it’s a responsibility that
we take very seriously. We are also committed to keeping you informed when there is an issue with our
delivery of service to you.
What happened?
On Sunday, February 4, at about 11 p.m., you and your neighbors experienced an unplanned power outage
due to an equipment problem at a nearby substation. A substation is an Eversource facility where higher
voltage electricity is reduced to a lower voltage for delivery to your home or business. The substation
repair required the installation of special equipment, which took longer than expected to connect, but is
now completed. We’re sorry that the complexity of our work took longer than anticipated and resulted in
more than one restoration time being provided to you. We truly understand how difficult it is to be
without power – particularly for several hours – and apologize.
