High Number Of Cases Forces Ryerson School To Go 'Full Remote'

The schools superintendent said 5 coronavirus cases has put too many in quarantine making it "impossible to support in person learning."

MADISON, CT — With five positive COVID-19 cases in the elementary school forcing a large number of students and staff into quarantine, the school district announced the entire school would do remote learning.

In a message to families, schools superintendent Craig Cooke wrote that Ryerson Elementary School will transition to full remote learning for the week of Dec. 21.

"We currently have five identified cases in the school, however the number of students and staff on quarantine as a result of those active cases has made it impossible to support full in-person learning at this time. We plan to welcome all Ryerson students back for in-person learning on January 4, 2021."
