Hose Co. 1, North Madison Volunteer Firefighters Battle Truck Fire
The call came in at 7:27 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found the truck engulfed very close to a building. By 7:41, they'd doused it.

MADISON, CT — Firefighters from Madison Hose Company #1 were helped by North Madison Volunteer Fire Company early Tuesday morning to fight a car fire. The vehicle, which photos show was engulfed in flames, was dangerously close to a structure, according to a Facebook post from Hose Co. 1.
It was 7:27 a.m. when units from Hose Co. 1 were dispatched to 21 Boston Post Road for a report of a car fire. With MHC Car 202, first on scene, firefighters soon found that the "working car fire next to the structure (created) exposure issues."
"Because of the close proximity to the structure, an upgraded assignment was dispatched bringing resources from North Madison Volunteer Fire Company," it was noted.

The fire department's post noted that "arriving fire units launched an aggressive initial attack, with hand lines stretched and placed in operation."
With "swift work by fire units on scene," the fire was quickly knocked down by 7:41 a.m.
