MADISON, CT — In a late Friday afternoon message, interim school superintendent JeanAnn C. Paddyfote noted that of the 2201 families that responded to the parent survey, some 87 percent of all the surveys mailed, an overwhelming majority are sending their kids back to in-person school in the hybrid model come Sept. 3, and many of them need their kids to ride the bus.

The survey will remain open until Wednesday, Aug. 25 for parents who have not submitted a response for their student.

Here's Paddyfote's full message on the survey, what's planned for buses, upcoming webinars to help families navigate back-to-school and orientation.

Transportation Notice

Based on data from parent responses to the survey, a significant number of students have declared their intention to ride the bus this fall. Given that all responses have not been received and multiple requests for changes are being reviewed, parents should be aware that ridership levels on buses may vary daily. Students and drivers are required to wear appropriate PPE and every effort will be made to social distance where feasible.
