Jeffrey Hamburg Remains In Jail

The former Madison resident will not be released until he pays the $50,000 bond

 

Jeffrey Hamburg, formerly of Madison, until he pays a $50,000 bond, the New Haven Register reported.

According to the article, Hamburg, a person of interest in the 2010 slaying of ex-wife Barbara Hamburg, was sent to jail two weeks ago because he failed to pay anything toward the $138,000 he owes to her estate.

The Register also reports that Judge Mark Gould has been appointed to the Hamburg case. The judge who had been handling the case, Judge Bernadette Conway, had interned with Hamburg's defense attorney and was "concerned about an appearance of partiality," The Register reported.
