On June 1, The Senior Center Will Open For Appointments Only
Appointments at the Madison Senior Center will be for meetings/issues that 'absolutely can't happen over the phone or by mail.'
MADISON, CT — The Madison Senior Center is preparing to keep seniors safe as plans for its reopening are announced. Beginning June 1, the center will meet with the public by appointment only.
In a community message, center director Austin Hall explained the way things will work going forward.
All visitors and center staff must wear masks or face covering, and for those without one, they're available at the center Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., but it's noted that for those to whom those hours are inconvenient, "we will make them available to you at another time."

"As part of our continuing efforts to keep seniors safe," Hall said, "we have installed a secure mail box outside the back entrance to the Senior Center. If you are dropping off paperwork for us, please use this mail receptacle to do so."
There is also now a doorbell system on the two main entrances.

"Beginning June 1st we will see the public by appointment only. These appointments will be for meetings/issues that absolutely can't happen over the phone or by mail. When you arrive for your appointment, please ring the doorbell, and we will escort you into the building," he wrote.
The center has installed a Plexiglas shield at the front desk that will act as a safety barrier between personnel and the public.
