Katharine Hepburn Featured in Short Documentary at the Kate July 2

The Katharine Hepburn Museum will screen the short documentary, THE LADY FENWICK, by Wesleyan University graduate Hannah Carroll.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT - The Katharine Hepburn Museum will screen the short documentary, THE LADY FENWICK, by Wesleyan University graduate Hannah Carroll on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm. The film will be shown in the theater of the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center at 300 Main Street, Old Saybrook, and a discussion with the filmmaker and crew will follow. Admission is FREE.

Newly graduated Wesleyan University film student, Hannah Carroll, presents her 12-minute documentary thesis about Katharine Hepburn. Hannah spent the better part of the past year producing, directing, and editing in an effort to tell a part of Miss Hepburn's story. Much of the film was shot in Old Saybrook, in particular the borough of Fenwick where Hepburn once lived, as well as at the Kate. The film was awarded top honors from the thesis jury and the Leavell Memorial Prize, which recognizes outstanding work in the film medium.

The Katharine Hepburn Museum, the only museum of its kind honoring America’s iconic actress, is on the first floor with exhibits and costumes that reflect on her life in Connecticut and her career. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm, as well as 12 to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays in July and August.
