First Selectman Banisch stated that this Modified Hours Program was as a result of a successful Summer Hours Program launched in 2017 and continued in 2018. In order to further benefit the public, the Town will continue on a modified schedule year-round. “By continuing a modified schedule, the public will continue to benefit from being able to conduct Town business outside of their normal working hours on Thursday nights; as well as with an additional half hour of time on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. This will continue to help the public in avoiding the need to take time away from their careers in order to pay taxes, apply for beach passes, etc.,” the First Selectman added.
