Large Price Tag on Clinton's Security Costs During Madison Visit

The cost of the large police presence at Hillary Clinton's book signing event was borne by the bookstore.

Hillary Clinton’s July 19 book signing at R.J. Julia Booksellers cost the bookstore close to $6,000, Jack Kramer reports from The Source.

The costs were to provide extra police coverage for Clinton.

According to The Source, there were police present not only from Madison but also from neighboring towns including Guilford, Branford, East Haven, New Haven and North Haven. Secret Service agents and State Police were also present at the event.
