Large Turnout Expected at Annual 5K Obstacle Race in Madison

A record turnout is expected at Madison’s annual Denali Run the Gantlet Race, NBC Connecticut reports.

The 5K obstacle race is set to take place this Sunday at Hammonasset Beach State Park.

According to the official race website, an extra heat has been added for 11 a.m. due to the overwhelming response to participate. The 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. heats have reached their maximum capacity.

All proceeds from the race benefit Shoreline Greenway Trail, a non-profit organization focused on creating a non-motorized continuous trail on the Connecticut Shoreline for all ages to enjoy.
