League of Women Voters 2017 Student Video Contest Begins

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO ENERGIZE CITIZENS AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO VOTE IN THE LOCAL ELECTIONS

“VOTE! IT MATTERS.”

The 2016 Presidential Election was an exciting time for the country. It brought out millions of voters and raised citizen interest and voter participation rates. In many places there is an age gap among voters as fewer 18-34 year old people vote.

In Connecticut 77% of the eligible voters showed up to vote. Contrast this with:

November 2015 Local Election results:

Madison 42%

Branford 39%

North Branford 27%

Guilford 27%

Help us double these results for the election on November 7, 2017 by submitting a video that will energize people to get out and vote.
