Letter to Santa Gives Granddad Day off From Work in Madison
The boy wrote that he wanted his grandfather at home on Christmas Day.

Santa delivered early this year for one little boy.
The little boy wrote a letter to Santa asking him to contact his grandfather’s boss, general manager John Mathers at the Madison Beach Hotel asking him to give his grandfather Christmas Day off, WTNH News 8 reports.
He wrote Santa a handwritten note, which said “my greatest wish is that you talk to my grandfather’s boss Mr. John Mathers and ask him if he could give my grandfather Christmas day off,” WFSB 3 TV reports.

Mathers, who was so inspired by the boy’s note, sent a memo to Leo Otero, telling him to take Christmas off so he could spend it with his grandchildren.
Part of Mathers’ memo read, “(Santa) was concerned that you were planning to work on Christmas Day. Your grandchildren are quite upset about this! I think it would be best if you planned to take the day off and spend it with your family. Work can wait until after Christmas.”

The boy also asked Santa for a new video game system too. We’ll have to see if Santa delivers that gift on Christmas.
