'Light Up, Madison' To Brighten Winter Nights Through February

MADISON, CT — It's been more than a month since Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza and the Winter Solstice, most of the holidays that make up the holiday season for many people. But the holiday season, and the spirit of goodwill and hope it inspires, often illuminated and celebrated with lights, in a small way helped many.

So the Light Up, Madison initiative will stay bright until the end of February, Madison Economic Development Commission chair Ryan Duques told Patch.

Yes, Light up, Madison will brighten the dark cold winter nights beyond holidays because we all need a little light in our lives.

The Madison Economic Development Commission's 'Light Up Madison' was created to "illuminate our streets, light our stores, and brighten our spirits," and to encourage folks to support local business, Duques said back in November.
