The Madison Academy of Music is proud to welcome Barry Reis to the faculty. Mr. Reiss has toured extensively in the US, Europe, and Japan with artists such as Jerry Mulligan, Horace Silver, and Lionel Hampton. Currently, he performs with the Steve Swallow quintet and Joe Lovano. Additionally, Mr. Reis has extensive studio work in New York City and an impressive portfolio of commercial jingles.
Mr. Reis will be offering coaching of small ensembles and group improvisation to pianists, guitarists, percussionists, trumpeters and bassists. Classes will be held Sunday afternoons from 2:00 - 3:30, and from 3:30 to 5:00. Enrollment is limited. The participation fee is $20 per class.
