Madison Beach Hotel Lawsuit Continues: Report

Nine plaintiffs have filed sued against the hotel and the trial is coming up soon.

MADISON, CT — A lawsuit between neighbors and the Madison Beach Hotel is finally headed to trial in June, reports the Shoreline Times.

Nine plaintiffs claim the hotel's free summer concern series, weddings and other activities leads to quality of life issues including excessive noise and traffic issues, the Shoreline Times reports. The lawsuit also claims some of the hotel's operations including hosting outdoor events are not allowed according to town zoning laws.

Neighbors who have filed suit have alleged that the town has not enforced its zoning laws against the Madison Beach Hotel. Neighbors have said they filed suit in an effort to protect the tranquility of the area and they don't believe the area should be hosting outdoor concerts.
