Madison Beach & Recreation Commission Reviews Surf Club Plan, Welcomes New Member
Survey results for the Surf Club Master Plan were presented, and Beach Parking Pass options were reviewed by the commission.
MADISON, CT — The Madison Beach and Recreation Commission, during its meeting this week, discussed the draft survey results for the Surf Club Master Plan, among other items.
Chad Frost of Kent + Frost Consulting reported that public information sessions saw strong turnout and provided valuable feedback. The results from the online survey, which closed on January 31, 2026, will be combined with the in-person data to form a consolidated summary.
The Commission also addressed new business, including formally welcoming Sue Lutz as a new member. Member introductions were completed during this segment of the meeting.

Further discussion centered on the 2026 Beach Parking Passes. The Commission reviewed various parking pass options. A more detailed recommendation will be prepared for a future meeting. The final approval authority for these passes rests with the Board of Selectmen.
The next steps for the Commission include the consolidation of the Surf Club Master Plan survey results, and the development of a detailed parking pass recommendation.
