Madison Board of Selectmen Move Forward with Budget Increases

The board held a special meeting Monday to pass the appropriation.

MADISON, CT – The Board of Selectmen decided to move forward with budget increases Monday night, The Source reported.

The board held a meeting to pass a $561,784 special appropriation, according to The Source. The money is designed to bolster various department’s budgets.

The special appropriation will become part of an adjusted budget, according to The Source. That budget represents a spending increase over the year of 3.3 percent.
