Madison Building Official Dies

MADISON, CT — Vin Garofalo, Madison's Building Official, has died, town officials announced Thursday.

"The Town of Madison is deeply saddened to announce the recent passing of our Building Official, Vin Garofalo," officials wrote on Facebook. "In addition to being a dedicated husband, father, and friend, Vin was a valued member of our town staff for over 15 years; his professionalism and commitment to our community will be missed."

Officials added, "We extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts as they navigate this difficult loss."
