The Madison Police Department is looking for local businesses to donate to Special Olympics Connecticut!! If a business makes a $100.00 donation, a nice sign with their business name will be posted along the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch run route (RT 1 in Madison)!

The Madison Police Department, as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) will be soliciting funds and raffle prizes in 2016 which will be benefiting Special Olympics Connecticut.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut (SOCT) is the movement's second largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. At its most basic level, the Torch Run is an actual running event (June 8-10) where over 1,500 officers and athletes carry the Special Olympics "Flame of Hope" through hundreds of cities and towns across the state, covering over 530 miles before running into the Opening Ceremonies at Summer Games (June 10-12). At its more extensive level, the Torch Run program encompasses a variety of fundraising vehicles such as Tip-A-Cops, Cop-On-Tops, and a variety of other events.
