Madison Center Project Update: Good News on Parking Spaces
Madison officials also remind residents that the annual Madison Newcomers Monster March will be held this Saturday, October 24 at 11a.m.

The pace of the Madison Center Project continues to benefit from excellent weather conditions and an efficient construction crew. Brick paver installation nears completion in the north east corner of downtown.
It is expected that approximately 10 parking spaces in front of the US Post Office and theater building will reopen Friday afternoon and complete access to the Post Office and sidewalk from the Route 1 crosswalk was reopened on Thursday.
The parking spaces had been closed and crosswalk difficult to use as construction concentrated on that end of town and the space was used to stage supplies and equipment.

Visitors to Madison center can now get a glimpse of what the completed project will look like, as the majority of the work has been completed near the Post Office.
“The work done in front of the Post Office was extensive and required a lot of cuts [to the brick pavers] as there were many angles to deal with. The memorial bricks have been replaced and most of the brick pavers and granite are in place,” said Ryan Duques of EDC, adding “it looks really impressive and is a great representation of what the remainder of town will soon look like.”
