Madison Clarifies Use Of Golf Carts In Town
Local officials say they have received questions concerning the proper use of golf carts in town.

*** GOLF CARTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON MADISON PUBLIC ROADS ***
Effective with the passage of Public Act 09-187 (passed in 2015), the traffic authority of a city, town or borough (in Madison it is the Police Commission and Chief of Police) may decide to allow the operation of golf carts on roadways within its jurisdiction that have speed limits of 25 mph or below.
