MADISON, CT – As towns continue to be squeezed for every budget dollar officials are looking for ways to save resources. One of those ways is regional cooperation and at a recent Board of Police Commission meeting a discussion was held on the Madison police department’s ongoing working relationship with the Clinton police department.
Madison Police Chief Jack Drumm reported that he has met with the Clinton police department regularly to “discuss regional approaches.”

Drumm said Madison and Clinton have shared officers, expenses, billing hours/time in certain areas. He added that both towns detective divisions continually work together on individual cases.
Under questioning from Selectman Al Goldberg, Drumm said he can see a time in the near future where Madison is not only working with Clinton, but also with Killingworth on mutual aid and day-to-day calls.
