Madison Closing In On Name For New Elementary School

The list of possible names was whittled down to just over a dozen, and the public can weigh in on them next week.

MADISON, CT — From a list of 15 potential names, Madison residents will have a chance next week to discuss the new moniker for the town's new elementary school, which is slated to open in 2025.

The Ad-Hoc New Elementary School Naming Committee will hold a public hearing at 5 p.m. Tuesday, where residents can discuss the proposed names; the hearing will be held at the Town Campus, 10 Campus Drive, Conference Room C, or via Zoom. Those unable to participate in the meeting in person can share their input on the suggested names by emailing newschoolname@madisonps.org.

The 87,000-square-foot elementary school is expected to cost close to $70 million, reported Shoreline Times.
