Madison Defies National Trends, Enrollment Increasing at the High School

There are 19 additional high school freshmen enrolled this year than anticipated.

Student enrollment seems to be going down everywhere across the country but not at Daniel Hand High School in Madison.

The Source’s Jack Kramer reports that 19 additional high school freshmen have enrolled at Hand than anticipated.

Board of Selectmen members speculated that the additional students is a result of the district’s sterling reputation in Connecticut and nationally, Kramer reports.
