Madison Discusses Purchasing Land it Leases for Fields

The land could possibly be used for a new school in the future.

Madison, CT - For the past 12 years the town of Madison has spent $32,000 annually or $341,000 total to lease fields that are part of the LeSage Property at 351 Copse Road.

That doesn't include an additional $800,000 the town has invested into those fields too, officials said. And now Madison officials are discussing buying the land outright, which forever prevent it from possibly being developed, the Madison Source reports.

There has also been talk that the land would be suitable for a new school one day, but there are no plans for that currently, the Source reports.
