Madison EMS Paramedic Honored With Ruth Burris Spirit Award
Madison EMS said paramedic Ashley Vargoshe's 'positivity and compassionate care brings comfort to patients on their worst days.'

MADISON, CT —Since 2011 Madison EMS has honored an employee who made outstanding accomplishments in support of Madison EMS through commitment, dedication, and for performing above and beyond expectations while serving our patients and the community.
The Ruth Burris Spirit of Excellence and Dedication Award is given in honor of former Board of Director and past president Ruth Burris. Ruth was committed to whatever project she was involved with and was instrumental with the new station project.
This award honors her spirit, commitment, and perseverance.

Madison EMS Paramedic Ashley Vargoshe was awarded the 2019 Ruth Burris Spirit of Excellence and Dedication Award.
"Paramedic Vargoshe consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic," Madison EMS said about Vargoshe.

"She is always willing to help her fellow employees and often covers shifts at a moment’s notice" and she "continuously goes above and beyond to improve the service for her fellow employees and the community at large," Madison EMS wrote on Facebook.
In 2019, Vargoshe obtained her paramedic license and transitioned to Paramedic from EMT.
"Her positivity and compassionate care brings comfort to patients on their worst days. One of several examples that speak to her dedication surrounds her helping the on-duty crew late into the night cleaning and placing the ambulance back in service after a difficult motor vehicle accident," the Facebook post reads.
