Madison First Selectman Decides His Political Future
Fillmore McPherson is finishing up his third term as the town's leader.

Madison First Selectman Fillmore McPherson said Thursday that three terms of office is enough for him and he won’t be seeking reelection. In an interview with the New Haven Register, McPherson said the job requires 24/7 attention and he wants to step back and enjoy life more.
The position pays $79,000 annually.
“I’ve accomplished a lot of what I set out to do,” McPherson said via the Register. “Now, it’s time for someone else to take the job and make their own mark.”
