Madison Food Trucks To Be More Scarce

One vendor is scaling back to just one day a week.

Does Madison have a food truck problem if there aren’t any food trucks left?

Well it’s becoming more and more likely that the move from near the Green to Academy Street has essentially hurt business and now food truck vendors are taking action including scaling back their hours of operations, according to The Source publication.

Taco Pacifico owner Greg Sharon told Jack Kramer that they will only have their truck in Madison one day a week on Wednesdays for at least a few weeks. There is only one other food truck that made the move.

When Madison decided to move the controversial food trucks from the more visible Boston Post Road location near the Green to Academy Street several trucks didn’t make the move.

And those two trucks that made the move, business has definitely suffered, reports reporter Jack Kramer for The Source publication.

Sharon told Kramer that “visibility flat-out sucks.”

Besides moving to a less desirable location they have to pay a $500 parking fee and there are certain dates that they can’t be there.
