Minimum Training and Experience Required To Perform Essential Job Functions: Associates degree or related certification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related field with one (1) year of related work experience; or, any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Position requires the possession of a valid State of Connecticut driver’s license. Position also requires clearance of a required background check.
Position Purpose: Exciting Opportunity to join our team at Madison Youth and Family Services! Immediate opening for part-time employee to provide support to the planning and implementation of several youth development programs run by MadisonYouth and Family Services.
Responsibilities would include assisting with our Peer Helper Program, including a weekend retreat in October and November.
Other responsibilities would include Monday and Wednesday afternoons to assist with ongoing Peer Helper training and Alumni Meetings, and assisting with “Mentoring Matters.” Some regular morning hours would be required to participate in meetings and program planning, and additional hours for periodic assistance in our school-based programs.
Program hours are known in advance, and certain hours can be flexible. Position will average 11 hours a week between September to June, hours will vary during weeks when running more programs.
Programs run consistent with school calendar and typically do not occur during school closures. Minimal work experience required, and we will provide support and training to the successful candidate.
