Madison Lyric Stage Holds Auditions For Its 2023 Season On Jan. 7

Auditions for Tony Kushner's Angels in America, Sheik & Sater's Spring Awakening, and Climb Every Mountain-Music of Rodgers & Hammerstein.

MADISON, CT — Madison Lyric Stage, a professional theater company entering its 11th year, will hold auditions for its 2023 season on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Madison.

The company is looking for singers and actors for its planned mainstage productions: Tony Kushner’s landmark drama Angels in America—Part I Millennium Approaches in June; Sheik and Sater’s musical Spring Awakening in July; and Climb Every Mountain—The Music of Rodgers & Hammerstein in September.

Madison Lyric Stage is also looking for Guild volunteers for its 2023 season, which will run from May through October.

All productions will be directed by Marc Deaton, and take place outdoors inside a deluxe tent on the grounds of the historic Deacon John Grave House in Madison.

Many roles are still open, ranging from leading to ensemble and understudy. Diversity of age, gender and ethnicity are of paramount importance. Compensation is available.

Auditions are by appointment only. For audition consideration and information please email your photo and resume to info@madisonlyricstage.org. Please prepare a song and/or a one-two minute monologue. Selections from planned shows are welcome. An accompanist will be provided. Volunteers may also write to the same email address.
