MADISON, CT — A powerful and quick moving winter storm dropped between 6 and 12 inches of snow on the area Thursday, which is leading to a second straight day off from school for students.
Madison Public Schools posted: "The Madison Public Schools will be closed Friday January 5, 2018. Based on reports from the Town's Department of Public Works, and the pending high wind forecast, the clearing of snow covered roads will be highly unlikely for bus travel tomorrow."
Enjoy the long weekend and be safe as wind chills will be running as low as 20 below zero on Friday and early Saturday. More snow is possible on Monday.
