Madison Man's Family Receives $4.2M Jury Award Against Guilford Nurse: Report
A Madison man killed himself several years ago and a jury issued the large award on Monday against the nurse.

A Superior Court jury ordered Harbor Health of Guilford’s psychiatric nurse Catherine Florio to pay a Madison house painter, who committed suicide several years ago, $4.2 million, the Connecticut Post reports.
The jury concluded that Florio was 35 percent responsible for Alan E. Jarecki’s death while Yale-New Haven Hospital was 65 percent responsible. Yale had previously settled the case, the Post reports.
Jarecki entered the hospital in 2009 seeking help as he was contemplating suicide. Jarecki who was under Florio’s care was weaned off of medication that had helped him for the past decade deal with anxiety, the Post reports.
