Madison Parents Asked to Provide Input in a Revised Homework Policy

The new homework policy, which is still being crafted would take effect for the fall.

Madison school officials want to know how parents feel about the district’s current homework policy as they are in the process of updating it.

“Our school district is currently revisiting our homework practices. A committee of educators representing all levels of our district has been working to update our district-wide homework policy,” said Thomas Scarice, schools superintendent.

“We anticipate that any proposed changes will be ready for the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. As a part of this process, we are conducting parent focus groups to gather parent input,” Scarice said.
