Madison Police Collecting Toys And Food: Here's How To Help
The Police Department wants to ensure that all residents have a happy holidays.

MADISON, CT - The Madison Police Department is once again conducting its Annual Food & Toy Drive. Donations can be dropped off 24/7 aT THE : Madison Police Department on 9 Campus Drive.
Toy donations will be accepted through December 21st and food donations will be accepted through Dec. 31st.

For food donations, the following will be collected: frozen turkey and non-perishable food items as well as pet supplies, laundry soap, personal hygiene items and baby diapers; all of which will benefit local families.
As the Christmas holiday approaches,, Madison Police Officers and Staff will be delivering frozen turkeys for inclusion into the Madison Food Bank’s holiday food baskets distributed to Madison residents in need. The remaining food and frozen turkeys will be donated to other area food banks and soup kitchens.

As far as toy donations, unwrapped toys will first be distributed to Madison families in need on December 20th and 21st.
The remaining toys will be transported to the Yale New Haven Children's Hospital to benefit the Toy Closet Program on December 22nd.
The Toy Closet Program was established by WTNH News Anchor Ann Nyberg to benefit children receiving care at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and provides the patient and/or their siblings with joy and comfort during their recovery at the hospital.
Collections bins are at the Madison police department and donations can be dropped off 24 hours a day through Dec. 21st.
