Madison Recreational Facilities Will Soon be Managed Privately
The town will hire a firm to facilitate the renting of its properties for private events.

The Madison Board of Selectmen recently voted to approve the hiring of a firm to manage the town’s recreational venues, Jack Kramer reports from the Source.
The town’s Beach and Recreation Commission is currently in charge of processing requests to rent facilities like Bauer Farm and Salt Meadow Park for private events.
According to the Source, Madison’s Economic Development Commission has been working with town departments to come up with a plan that will allow outside firms to market, book and facilitate rental use of the properties. The firms would continue to follow the town’s regulations, policies and procedures.
