Madison Future Train Project Postponed Due To State Budget Crisis

Governor Malloy says legislature must take action to appropriate special funding for hundreds of road projects across the state.

MADISON, CT - A scheduled train station enhancement project to be funded with state money in Madison have been suspended. Governor Dannel P. Malloy made that announcement stating the state legislature needs to appropriate funds for the Special Transportation Fund to get the projects done.

"If Connecticut does not take the necessary action to allow to restart these vital projects, not only will it put the state's infrastructure into a further state of disrepair, it will hurt our economy," Malloy said. "The legislature must act this year to avoid potentially devastating setbacks to our transportation system."
