Madison Student Wins Google Contest for Connecticut
The fourth-grade student needs your help to win the national contest and a $30,000 academic scholarship and a $50,000 tech grant.
The Madison Public Schools are thrilled to announce that Micah Linton-Smith, a fourth grader from Island Avenue School, is the state winner and national finalist for the Doodle 4 Google contest, officials announced in a news release.
Once a year Google invites students in the United States to use their artistic talents to redesign Google’s homepage logo for millions to see.
This year, Google asked students to exercise their creative imaginations around the theme, “What makes me...me.” Micah chose to express his creativity by taking apart a computer and using the pieces to create the Google logo to express that technology makes Micah, Micah. Out of all the submissions Google received, Micah was selected as Connecticut’s state winner!
