Madison's Lackluster School Test Rate Draws State Threat

MADISON, CT - If the Madison School District does not increase its rate of test participation from students, state education officials are threatening to cut off access to federal funds.

That's the message from the state Department of Education, which says Madison's test participation rate is 77 percent, well below the 95 percent the state requires, reports the Madison Source.

If progress is not shown in the 2015-16 school year, namely the district at least reaching a participation rate of 90 percent, access to federal funds may be cut off.
