Data includes a breakdown of violent crimes in town and the total number of crimes reported in 2013 and 2014.
In 2014, there were 241 crimes reported in Madison, which is a slight increase from 2013 when 226 crimes were reported, according to the latest FBI data.
Last month we brought you the number of violent of crimes that occurred in Madison in 2014 as the FBI had just released that data.
In Madison there were two violent crimes reported in 2014, a rape and one aggravated assault.

But in the same FBI report, it revealed that in Madison in 2014 there were 119 property crimes reported, 11 burglaries, 97 larceny thefts, 11 motor vehicle thefts and 1 case of arson.
By way of comparison in 2013 there was also two violent crimes reported in Madison.

In 2013, there were 112 property crimes reported in Madison, 16 burglaries, 96 larceny thefts, 0 motor vehicle thefts and 0 cases of arson.
