Meals On Wheels Benefits From Stop & Shop's Fight Hunger Program

Every time a $9.99 bouquet is bought in the Samson Rock Road store, $1 goes to the Senior Center's Meals On Wheels program through March.

MADISON, CT — The Madison Senior Center's Meals on Wheels program was chosen by the Madison Stop & Shop as the March beneficiary of its Bloomin' 4 Good Program where $1 from every $9.99 floral bouquet with a red circle sticker sold gets donated to the center's food program.

Stop & Shop says its program fights hunger locally.

"Every bouquet sold works to fight hunger across the local communities in which we live and work," the program description on its website reads. "Let's fight hunger together, one bouquet at a time."

Just Friday, when the Bloomin' 4 Good program launched in all Stop & Shop stores, 231 bouquets were purchased and $231 donated, according to its website.

The bouquet program at the Samson Rock Road store to benefit Madison Meals on Wheels continues through the end of March.

The store's Community Bag Program, begun in May 2019, where for every $2.50 reusable bag purchased, $1 gets donated to a non-profit. The program has raised more than $1 million and kept some 30 million single use bags from being used.
