Momentum Builds for a Cultural Arts Center in Madison

Momentum to turn the Academy School building into a cultural arts center continue to heat up.

The state awarded the Shoreline Arts Alliance with a $125,000 grant, which will be used to help raise more money to lead to renovations to the facility, officials told the Madison Source.

The Shoreline Arts Alliance has a letter of intent with the town of Madison that runs through the spring of 2016 to finalize plans for the Academy school property.

Officials say the grant shows that state officials feel the project is viable.
