More Than 1,400 Madison and Guilford Residents Without Power

A tree knocking down power lines is the culprit and crews are on the scene. A road is also closed in Guilford.

Almost 1,500 residents of Madison and Guilford were without power early this afternoon after a tree knocked down power lines, reports the New Haven Register.

About 900 Madison residents were without power as of noon and 400 customers in Guilford.

A tree was down on Clapboard Hill in Guilford and the road was closed at Duck Hole Road, the Register reports.
