More Madison Beach Concerns Discussed: Report

MADISON, CT — It's fair to say that there have been some issues concerning Madison's new beach pass system this year, but local officials also say they are hearing about other concerns from residents.

Selectman Scott Murphy said that there has been concern over the lack of lifeguards and guards at gates to local beaches, the Madison Source reports. Officials say they are working to address the lifeguard shortage but they noted it's an issue across the state not just in Madison.

And as for the new beach pass system, local officials say they will evaluate it but officials vowed that more changes are coming, the Source reports.
