OLD SAYBROOK, CT - The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, “the Kate”, welcomes The Eric Mintel Quartet for a family-friendly afternoon of holiday jazz and the music of Vince Guaraldi on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
This unique jazz concert will spread joy and put audience members in the holiday spirit as the Eric Mintel Quartet brings to life the soundtrack from Charles Schulz's endearing 1965 holiday classic, "A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Originally composed by jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi, the familiar and timeless songs including “Christmas Time Is Here,” “Linus and Lucy” and “Skating,” will be performed alongside traditional holiday favorites.
The Eric Mintel Quartet has been thrilling audiences of all ages with electrifying jazz for over 25 years. Featuring pianist and composer Eric Mintel, Nelson Hill on sax/flute, Jack Hegyi on bass and Dave Mohn on drums, the quartet is also well known for a tribute to Dave Brubeck and performances of many Eric Mintel’s original compositions.
