New Restaurant/Apartment Complex Approved in Madison Despite Neighbor Opposition: Report

Several residents testified that the development is all wrong for their neighborhood.

MADISON, CT — The Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the creation of a 6,000-square-foot restaurant/apartment building at 82 Wall St. despite vehement opposition from neighbors, the Shoreline Times reports.

Half the square footage is for the restaurant/bar on the first floor and there will be two upstairs apartments. The restaurant can accommodate 40 diners and will include additional seating at the bar, the Shoreline Times reports.

No details have been released what kind of restaurant will be going into the space as of yet. An existing house on the property needs to be demolished and construction would commence after that. To sign up for Madison breaking news alerts and more, click here.
