No Charges in Madison Fatal Accident: Police

A 40-year-old man who was riding on a scooter was hit by a car in June 2015 and died days later as a result of his injuries.

MADISON, CT - Police say their investigation into a fatal accident that occurred in June 2015 in town has concluded and there will be no charges filed against the driver of the other vehicle.

On June 28 at around 6 p.m. William J. Sibilla Jr., 40, of West Haven was on a scooter when he was hit a by a car driven by an 81-year-old local resident.

Sibilla suffered severe skull fractures at the scene and was revived by emergency responders. He was taken to a local hospital and succumbed to his injuries on June 30.

While Sibilla’s listed address was West Haven, he had been staying in the Madison area.

No other details were available concerning the accident.
