Obituary: Brian Webster, former Daniel Hand High School teacher

He taught at DHHS and at Blessed Sacrament in Hamden before retiring. He was a wonderful storyteller and a mentor to many of his students.

Friday, November 26, 2021, Brian Webster longtime resident of Hamden and most recently of Branford passed away at his home after a brief illness.

Mr. Webster was born in New Haven on October 31, 1950, son of the late Frederick Webster and Marion (Brietweiser) Webster.He is survived by his sister, Nanette Tomaselli, and her husband, Ronald Sr., of Guilford, and his nieces and nephews Ralph (Mary), Ronald (Tracy), Jackie (John) Cascio, Kathleen (Jaime) Genovese. In addition, he is survived by his Aunt Claire Smith of Branford, an extended family of cousins, and friend, Matthew Nolan, of Hamden.

Brian was a graduate of Quinnipiac University. Before retiring he worked as a dedicated teacher for the Blessed Sacrament in Hamden and for Daniel Hand High School in Madison. Brian was a friend to all he met, kind and caring, a wonderful storyteller and a mentor to many of his students, and loving to his family.

Services and burial were held privately by his family. A memorial Mass will be announced in the near future.
