Catherine (Doyle) Gambardella, 61, of Madison, CT passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021 after bravely battling a long illness. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of Agatha (Esposito) and the late Edward Doyle.
She was raised in Morris Cove and was a graduate of Richard C. Lee High School. She later attended Southern Connecticut State University and studied at Robbins-Madanes Center for Strategic Intervention.
Cathy loved the arts especially Orchestra New England, local theater, and photography. An avid photographer herself, she documented the many vacations she took and the lives of her two greatest loves; her sons Michael and David. Cathy had the rare opportunity to be a stay at home mom allowing her to focus on raising her two boys. She relished each and every moment.
She taught catechism at Our Lady of Pompeii Church and attended the many sports and band functions that Michael and David participated in. Cathy celebrated every milestone they accomplished. As the boys grew older Cathy pursued her passion and dedicated her professional career to helping others achieve their full potential. Cathy became a Licensed Hypnotherapist and Life Coach opening her own practice, Hypnosis Therapy Center, LLC in Madison, CT. In addition to the many clients she assisted, her professional accomplishments also included serving as President of the Central Connecticut Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) and President of the Connecticut Chapter of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT). Her command of the subject matter led to several speaking roles at regional professional conferences.
Cathy felt most at peace outdoors. One could often find Cathy working in her garden, undertaking new landscape projects, or communing with the wildlife that visited her Madison home. Cathy was a gifted conversationalist and a good friend. She will be missed by her children, family, friends, colleagues and many clients.
Catherine leaves her beloved children Michael and wife Kimmy (Clark) Gambardella of Deep River, CT; David and wife Kristin (Doty) Gambardella and grandson David of Tucson, AZ; two sisters Elizabeth (Doyle) Santini and husband Albert of New Haven, CT; Suzanne (Doyle) McCormick and husband Edward of Deep River, CT; two brothers Edward Doyle of New Haven, CT; Michael Doyle and wife Barbara (Bernado) of West Haven, CT; nieces and nephews Lauren and Catherine Santini; Christopher Doyle; Johnathan Doyle; Monica (Doyle) Kelly and husband Patrick; John and wife Rebecca Doyle; Victoria Gaudino; Tyler, Cooper, and Cassidy McCormick; and grandniece Madison Kelly and grandnephews Tyler Kelly and Edward Doyle.
